In accordance with the universal field manual maintenance protocol described in Chapter 1 of the Field Manual package, this manual was updated in 2020 as Version 2a. Updates reflect user feedback and new developments (e.g. data discoverability and accessibility). Version 2b will also include an accepted publication describing this field manual.
